These are probably the most luxurious children’s shoes ever…...

Produced by Step 2wo, and christened the ‘Cinders’ shoe, they are available in Harvey Nichols London, retailing for a racy £250 ($450 approx).
These credit crunch defying shoes are hand crafted in Italy and feature 1,000 Swarovski cystals and come in sizes 35-38.
Nick Rayne, owner of Step 2wo, who also runs the children’s wear concessions in Harvey Nichols believes the Cinders shoes will buck the gloom on the high street.
“Our customers are always looking for the perfect party shoe for their daughters and we believe we’ve created the perfect pair. A modern take on the Glass Slipper, these are shoes that girls will want to - and will love - wearing. Our customers are less likely to be affected by the current credit crunch and £250 isn’t a big financial commitment for them. For example, they might buy a dress by the couture children’s wear designer Bonnie young which retails in the region of £1,300 and will expect to buy a pair of shoes that will complement the dress.”
Umm, I guess we will have to wait and see if belt tightening reaches all levels of the retail market…..
