A nude photo of France’s first lady Carla Bruni has recently been sold at auction for a staggering $91,000 (£46,098).
The rather artistic image was taken by renowned photographer Michel Comte in 1993.

The photo was bought at Christies New York by an anonymous bidder, with the final auction price hitting 30 times the list price.
If you have never heard of Poul Henningsen, you need to! He’s a very famous Dane that has brought us some of the most stunning architecture known to man.

The Pure Package is a premium, food delivery delivery service based in London. Their angle is to deliver a complete days eating programme of healthy and nutritionally balanced food. I have to admit that images of bland, tasteless meals were conjured up in my mind. However, and to my great surprise, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The whole experience was a complete delight.

It began with a pleasant phone call from Zoe at Pure Package who asked me a series of questions about my diet, weight, height, intolerances etc. As a thirty year old with a worryingly expanding girth, I probably underestimated a little on the weight - ok a lot and my diet probably sounded almost utopian. However, Zoe patiently stayed with me and probably new that this wasn’t the honed athlete I had led her to believe! Nonetheless, I was assured that a cooler bag full of highly nutritious goodies would arrive on my doorstep at 6am the following Wednesday. I waited with great anticipation. Could a service used by such luminaries as Hugh Jackman AKA Wolverine no less and Patsy Kensit, be as good as the billing.
As good as their word, my Pure Package Cooler bag arrived on Wednesday morning. The poor soul who delivers these exquisite packages across London must have a wholly nocturnal existence!
My menu for that day comprised the following:

We stumbled across these little beauties recently and simply fell in love with the design. If there is something the Scandinavians do very well it’s product design!

What you see is a porcelain sundial (that also measures the rain) that is actually 50cm tall and is extremely durable. The simple and elegant dial is made of tempered, see-through glass and in the centre the rain gauge is made of aluminum and frosted plastic (bit of a letdown that bit!).
It costs £99 so certainly won’t break the bank and it will add some character to a garden.

The Leela Hotel group has been quietly expanding and growing their presence within the Indian market over recent years, culminating in the acclaimed Leela Palace Hotel in Bangalore.
However, for their most daring development yet, Leela have acquired a three acre plot in Delhi for $150 million, making it one of the most expensive pieces of real estate in the country.
The new hotel is set to open in summer 2008 and will include 90 serviced residences as well as 319 guestrooms and suites. We can only speculate what the final costs will be, but judging by Leela’s other hotels, there will be no skimping on luxurious features.
