A new trend in luxury is the humble bathtub. Tamara Ecclestone recently splashed out (sorry!) on a £1 million crystal bath.

Now, I present to you the World’s most bling bathtub, the limited edition Catchpole & Rye Swarovski Elements Crystal bath.

image

This bath took over 200 hours to apply the crystals by hand and is now in Harrods as part of the Swarovski xmas celebration.  Compared to Tamara’s, this one’s a steal at £150,000.

There is also a baby bath version priced at 120K – Harper…tell your mummy!

The ‘Saracen’ is a classic Catchpole and Rye bath made in their Kent foundry in traditional methods and employing their experienced craftspeople at every part of the process.

The crystals are all white, of four different sizes and applied in random fashion which serves to emphasise the light refracting properties of the crystals and creates a truly spectacular sparkling effect.

This is the first time that Harrods and Swarovski have joined forces at Christmas and also the first collaboration between Catchpole & Rye and Swarovski.

You can find the World’s most bling bathtub on the second floor of Harrods in the bathroom department – take your shades!

Luxury Mayfair restaurant Le Caprice have recently celebrated their 30th Anniversary and to mark the occasion they have partnered with leading music personalities to create an exclusive collector’s edition music book.

The centrepiece of Le Caprice (apart from the food!) is the piano, the collection of sheet music features classic songs for the piano. The music book is a little bit special.

Only 200 copies have been printed and will sold at Le Caprice for £200 each. Proceeds will go to War Child, a charity long associated with the music industry.

Le Caprice has partnered with leading music personalities to create this exclusive collector’s edition music book. Along with an introduction from Jools Holland, artists including Sir Paul McCartney, Gary Barlow, Coldplay and Skin have each chosen a favourite classic song that has been scored for the piano to add to the music book.

“In my life I have been very fortunate as music has fascinated and brought me more joy than almost anything. I hope this book may do the same for you… play what you love, love what you play and love the people you’re playing it to.” – Jools Holland.

To celebrate the success of the restaurant over the last three decades, Le Caprice has undergone a design refresh. The update honours the restaurant’s signature style with a black marble floor, new windows and pristine, re-imagined bar.

The timeless monochrome interior has been maintained, along with such elements as the timeless David Bailey photographs adorning the walls. Additionally, a terrace has been added for guests to enjoy alfresco dining in the bustling centre of St James’s.

Jesus Adorno, Director of Le Caprice, comments: “I’ve been at Le Caprice for 30 years, starting out as a waiter. The restaurant seems to evoke passion amongst both its staff and customers. I’ve witnessed first dates to marriage proposals to golden wedding anniversaries. The first 30 years have been remarkable – here’s to the next 30!”

They say that Bali is the ‘land of a thousand smiles’ – 999 of which we used up at the fantastically luxurious and exclusive The Balé, Nusa Dua. The only frown amongst all of these smiles of delight was when we reluctantly had to leave.  It is difficult for us to accurately reflect the quality, tranquillity and serenity of this resort without descending into a whole myriad of superlatives. Perhaps it can best be described simply as ‘a total paradise on earth’. After 38 years of happy marriage my wife wanted us to get divorced and then remarried immediately so that we could spend a honeymoon at The Balé! As you lie in your personal infinity swimming pool in front of your own pavilion, shrouded in fragrant frangipani and dwarfed by giant flame trees, with soothing Balinese music echoing from your own high quality sound system, you cannot fail to be immersed in and inspired by one of the most beautiful and romantic retreats in the whole world.

Slightly unusual we know, but Sudocrem, the Nations favourite nappy rash cream, sure know how to celebrate their 80th birthday. The brand recently commissioned jewellery designer to the stars, Theo Fennell, to make them a unique one off piece of jewellery that they could auction off to raise funds for the NSPCC.

The exquisitely crafted £10,000 charm bracelet has been created from white gold and is encrusted with 24 rubies. The one of a kind piece, which looks like a mini Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream tub, took craftsmen in Theo’s South Kensington workshop three months to create.

Theo said: “I loved the idea of designing something for Sudocrem which appealed to the big baby in me. I hope it raises a huge amount for the NSPCC.”

Glam mums can bid for the item by visiting Ebay for Charity in the first week of December!

Jerome C. Rousseau, is a seriously on trend London shoe designer. His designs have already been coveted by many A-list actresses including Scarlett Johannson, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron, Katie Holmes and Eva Mendes….and now Victoria Beckham has been spotted wearing a remarkably similar design.

Born in Quebec, Jerome’s interest for design was shaped through art and music; “I started drawing shoes as a teenager after watching a Deee-Lite video clip.  I was influenced by its unique styling, but it was the overstated retro footwear that first caught my attention.” Ah Yes, remember the ‘Groove is in the heart’ video?...explains it all now!

Jerome finessed his design skills for ten years in London and Los Angeles, where he worked alongside Matthew Williamson, Isabella Fiore, John Richmond and John Rocha, as well as Paris based forecasting house Promostyl.

Jerome C. Rousseau received ‘Launch of the Year’ at the Footwear News Awards in 2008 and the accessories award at the ‘Who Is On Next’ Awards for emerging talent, hosted by Vogue Italia in 2010.

His impressive portfolio to date includes collaborations with Peter Pilotto for his SS10 catwalk show at LFW, with famed film director Terry Gilliam for the Johnny Depp film ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ and most recently he was commissioned by Disney to design an exclusive shoe to celebrate the launch of the remake of Tron Legacy.

Victoria Beckham was recently seen in SoHo in New York City, earlier this month wearing a flouro pink dress and ankle boots. These on trend black boots bear an uncanny resemblance to the ‘Ceresato’ by Jerome C. Rousseau.

You can get Posh’s Look! In black leather with a stiletto high heel and platform, the easy to wear style will give you a touch of the A-list.

The acclaimed collections are available at Net-a-porter, Harvey Nichols and Dover Street Market in London as well as Fred Segal, Barney’s and Le Bon Marche to name a few international stockists.
