I recently took delivery of my iPhone 3G - expectations were very high. Quite frankly it has turned out to be an exceptional piece of kit - don’t even think about going for the blackberry storm. Having tested it thoroughly, I was left feeling very disappointed…

Anyway, I digress. With me feeling pleased as punch about my new iPhone, I was keen to purchase a set of quality earphones to go with it.

After doing some research I eventually settled on Etymotic’s HF2 earphones, which have incredibly sharp sound quality (better than any other earphone I have tried)  and also fit very snugly into my ear.

The Hotpod is a luxury “exothermic oxidizing reactor” limited edition multifuel stove, handbuilt by artist blacksmith Daniel Harding.

You say what? Well effectively it’s a funky, eco friendly, stove that retails for a hefty £2,644 ($3,966 approx).

Built from recycled gas cylinders and old VW’s the Hotpod looks more like a piece of modern art than a functional piece of kit. Each Hotpod is individually numbered with only 350 stoves being made - so it has a limited edition cachet.

If you’ve had turkey to see you through till next xmas you could do worse than venture into Goodman,  a recently opened steakhouse in London’s Mayfair. Although a Russian owned restaurant you’d be forgiven for believing you’d stepped straight into a swanky Chicago Saloon. My dining companion joked she could picture the cast of Mad Men in one of their dark leather booths knocking back a bourbon! The interior is dark and masculine with a long wooden bar serving beers & cocktails running alongside the main dining area. We started the evening here with an old fashioned G&T and prepared ourselves for a hearty meal, if there is one thing you need to be at this place it’s hungry….

Here’s your chance to pick up one of the rarest Rolex Watches ever… it’s a 1976 Rolex Comex Submariner 5514 and currently has a price tag of £72,000 on Watchfinder.co.uk.

It will be going under the hammer at Bonhams in early 2009 so keep your eye out for this masterpiece.

The Rolex Comex Submariner with its unique model number was developed by Rolex and Comex to meet the growing demands of professional divers and the spectacular development of underwater exploration back in the late 70’s. The 5514 was not available to the public. It differs from the 5513 in that it has a Helium Escape Valve on the right side of the case.
