If you’ve had turkey to see you through till next xmas you could do worse than venture into Goodman, a recently opened steakhouse in London’s Mayfair. Although a Russian owned restaurant you’d be forgiven for believing you’d stepped straight into a swanky Chicago Saloon. My dining companion joked she could picture the cast of Mad Men in one of their dark leather booths knocking back a bourbon! The interior is dark and masculine with a long wooden bar serving beers & cocktails running alongside the main dining area. We started the evening here with an old fashioned G&T and prepared ourselves for a hearty meal, if there is one thing you need to be at this place it’s hungry….

Here’s your chance to pick up one of the rarest Rolex Watches ever… it’s a 1976 Rolex Comex Submariner 5514 and currently has a price tag of £72,000 on Watchfinder.co.uk.
It will be going under the hammer at Bonhams in early 2009 so keep your eye out for this masterpiece.
The Rolex Comex Submariner with its unique model number was developed by Rolex and Comex to meet the growing demands of professional divers and the spectacular development of underwater exploration back in the late 70’s. The 5514 was not available to the public. It differs from the 5513 in that it has a Helium Escape Valve on the right side of the case.

We recently taste tested a variety of sparkling wines alongside Champagne brands - and it was surprising how evenly matched they were.
Nonetheless, there is a certain cachet with Champagne branding. That’s certainly the case with this beautifully constructed Bollinger gift box.
Named the Bollinger champagne Octagonal Gift Box Limited Edition - with ice bucket, this is something that is likely to impress as a gift, particularly when there are only 1000 of these worldwide. The retail price is £274.95 ( $412 approx) but I wouldn’t mind betting that if kept pristine, this might be worth a tidy sum in a few years down the road.
Retailing for a staggering £1,500 ($2,250 approx) the Solar Ski Jacket from Zegna Sports isn’t cheap - but it is damn handy on the slopes.
The design combines sports comfort with the needs of the modern skier. The solar capture capability of this jacket enables mobile phones, ipods, iphones and other handheld communication devices to be charged up on the move, in an eco friendly way.

Radiators can be such dull objects - so it’s always good when someone reinvents them into items of beauty. This Speira radiator from Aeon is one of the most expensive radiators in the world, retailing for £11,180 plus VAT ($16,800 approx) and you can see why:
All radiators in the Aeon collection are made from the highest-grade solid stainless steel and are built to exacting stylising standards.
Aeon say that the Speira radiator is:
“A state of the the art show stealer - a sculptural light installation that will turn heads and fascinate. Designed to be the focal point in architectural spaces and engineered to heat them. The spiralling sculpture looks so much like a piece of art, that it is almost impossible to recognise that it happens to be a powerful heat source also. A glamorous and beautiful work of art that belies its humble origins as a radiator.”
