Welcome to the future! Born in the nation of bicycles and Tulips, Holland, this is the hottest gadget on the market for parents.

This is the Taga, classed as a ‘multifunctional urban vehicle’ and has been designed to suit the demands of modern parenthood and green lifestyle.
It retails for around £1,700 so not for all, but for those who can afford one, be prepared to stop traffic in this.

A while back we were asked to sample some Ooh La La chocolates. I’m sometimes a little sceptical when I receive chocolate samples…...

Nonetheless I tucked in enthusiastically (who wouldn’t where chocolate is concerned).

What a delight. Delicious and original combinations all in the one box.  Utterly luxurious.

The compilation of hand made chocolates included such delights as Seville Orange and Gin, Cherry Blossom, Rhubarb and Ginger, Rose Tea, Jersey Clotted Cream & Vanilla Truffle (my personal favourite), Walnut Liqueur.

I have to confess that the Cherry Blossom wasn’t my cup of tea - but overall it was a box of chocolates that was luxury personified. The flavours and styling of each chocolate is honed by Ooh La La Chocolaterie and in particular by chief chocolate honcho - Antonia Corp.

We previously covered the Tower Fire from Ecosmart, an Australian company doing some great things with fire place design. The Zeta is the latest in the family to grace the shelves. Designed by John Dimopoulos, director of Geoform, a Design & Architects Firm from Sydney, it is said to have got its name because of its elliptical shape and pays homage to its Greek ‘origins’.

It’ll set you back £8,000 and comes in either Ciocolatta, Nero, Ranch Hide and Latte. It’s made from a clever fusion of timber, leather, stainless steel and glass. It’s fuelled by denatured ethanol, an environmentally friendly, renewable energy.

This interesting little device is Philip Stein’s Wine Wand. It is apparently a major breakthrough for wine connoisseurs as it uses natural frequencies to aerate and decant wine within minutes instead of hours.

The Wine Wand won’t change the taste of the wine, but it will release the wine’s natural aromas and flavours. The wand either comes in a luxurious calf leather or carbon fibre sheath.

I wonder how you would refer to The Cove at Lamorna after spending a week relaxing there?

Their website says “self catering apartments” but I really don’t think that does it any justice at all.  It’s not a hotel either and doesn’t feel like one.  Think of this place as; the pad you always wanted to have, but without any of hassle of owning.

The apartments…
Apartment 15 - where we stayed - is on the top floor of this renovated complex which climbs the valley wall and although you enter from what feels like ground level by the time you cross the lounge and step through the big glass doors to your private balcony beyond you must be five floors up above the converted church below.  The world simply drops before you giving you a clear view down the valley to the coast and to Lizard Point some 17 miles away across the water.
