Otto Jakob is one of the Germany’s leading jewellery designers and he’s just showcased a rather impressive new collection at Colnaghi in London.
The collection, of which you can see a few pieces of below are from his ‘Everyday Jewels’ collection
His influences are said to be of African art and culture combined with Jakob’s fascination with the human figure, and science of the Renaissance period.

Limited to just 15 pieces this is no doubt on every Luxury Egg collector’s Christmas list. Retailing for £27,000, you get a base and a body made of Herend porcelain, decorated with the Victoria pattern symbolising the standing that the honour of Queen Victoria’s choice conferred on Herend.
The upper part of the egg is made of 18 carat gold with metal wiring. The parts of the lower neck were shaped individually with precision casting technology
The stones were set individually in crown or bezel settings; the gold band crossing the top and bottom of the egg is decorated with one hundred diamonds; pressing the drop-shaped ruby clasp will open the egg and display the Herend Royal Butterfly, a diamond-bedecked pendant.

We’re just about to furnish the nursery for our first child, so I was kind of interested to spot this new online boutique called Punkin Patch. We haven’t used the site, but it looks kind of funky and offers some high end luxury kit.
They say:
“Punkin Patch say that they are casting themselves as an “online boutique offering everything darling for baby nurseries and children’s rooms. Our selections are not found “everywhere”. The bit I liked was that they offer a free room design service to all customers. I know that I could do with this at the moment....

Acclaimed as “the most expensive new piano in the world” this instrument is likely to offer unrivaled playability.... Or so you would expect given the price tag!!!!
The 7’4” black Kuhn-Bösendorfer piano with its matching bench is inset with as many as 100,000 hand cut, polished jewels arranged in diamond patterns.
The instrument has been eighteen months in the making and is a “grand collaboration” between L. Bösendorfer Klavierfabrik GmbH of Vienna, Austria and Jon Kuhn, the world’s foremost cold glass sculptor.
