How would you like making your afternoon tea with a $14,000 (£7,500) tea bag? Probably a little nervous I guess - what if you split the bag!
Well, if this idea tickles your luxury taste buds then you might just be in luck. This diamond laden teabag was created by Boodles jewellers to celebrate PG tips 75th birthday. Wow, what a birthday present - but do you throw it away after you’ve used it?
To match the beautiful exterior the tea itself isn’t bad either. Sourced from a rare Darjeeling leaf in India which has particularly pale leaves and is picked as buds from the oldest garden in India. What a pedigree!
This tea known as Makaibari Silver Tips is so exclusive that five chests containing 55kg of it were sold at auction in July 2003 to Godrey Phillips India Ltd for £2,500 per kilogram.

It’s a fungus, it looks pretty unappetising and smells like a cross between old socks, cheese and shellfish. That’s right, I’m describing a rare white Alba truffle recently sold for a staggering $112,000 (£64,000/€95,000)
at auction to a Mr Gordon Wu a Hong Kong property developer.
The monster truffle weighed in at a hefty 2 lb. 10 oz. and was, described by auctioneers as “the size of a small handbag,”
The sale equates to a staggering $41,311 per pound (five times more valuable than gold) which must qualify as the most expensive food on the planet.
The previous record truffle sale was $27,000 per pound, set in 2004 by a syndicate including Gwyneth Paltrow.
By all accounts the auction was a pulsating competition between potential buyers in London, Hong Kong, Italy and Shanghai via satellite link.
This character rich Georgian house situated on Wimpole Street, Central London, was once used by both Sir Paul McCartney and John Lennon while drafting such classics as Eleanor Rigby and I Wanna Hold Your Hand.
Full of character and well situated, the house has now come onto the market at a cool £4.15 million ($7.67 million). No doubt there will be the odd die hard Beatles fan who will be hoping to secure a piece of musical history!
Aside from the historical context, this property offers substantial accommodation spread over 6 storeys and plenty of period features to boot.
Currently on the market with Hudsons.

With all the hullabaloo surrounding the new James Bond film it’s hardly surprising that all things 007 related are receiving their fair share of exposure.
Goat Island off the Island of Tobago is no exception.
According to Luxury Real Estate:
“This island is intricately entwined with the birth of the story of James Bond. Ian Fleming the former owner of the island dreamed up the story of James Bond while spending his time here and at his property “Goldeneye” in Jamaica. Fleming and the James Bond novels made private islands almost synonymous with evil geniuses bent on world destruction, and although his home was well known, Fleming used this as his own secret hideaway while writing his books. After all, what better place to dream of the Evil Dr. No’s island of Crab Key than on your own private island?”
Aside from the famous pedigree, the island obviously offers a wonderful level of privacy and much more besides:-
