If your limbs and muscles are aching then it might be worth giving some consideration to the new fangled luxury spa treatments that are hitting the news.

Ever heard of Watsu? No.. neither had I, but this regressive therapy is receiving a lot of plaudits at the moment.

Watsu is a gentle form of body therapy performed in warm water, (around 35oC.) It combines elements of massage, joint mobilisation, shiatsu, muscle stretching and dance. The receiver is continuously supported while being floated, cradled, rocked and stretched. The deeply relaxing effects of warm water and nurturing support, combine with Watsu’s movements, stretches, massage and point work, to create a bodywork with a range of therapeutic benefits and potential healing on many levels.”

It’s not something I would personally go for, but I know of many people who swear by this therapy for relieving aches and pains or for simply recharging the batteries. Prices can vary from £55 ($90) to £250 ($480) per session.

Bathing by candlelight can be a tremendously relaxing and romantic experience but you do have the practical problems associated with naked flames. An illuminated bath tub gives you a hassle free way of achieving that ambient light and a highly original bathroom feature to boot.
