Breathtaking is the only way to describe it! Where on earth could you find such peace, tranquillity, beauty and calm in the cacophony of bustling Bangkok? The minute you see the amazingly sculptured building and feel the friendly welcome of the staff you will be transported into an environment that is relaxing, stylish and oozing oriental charm. The overall feel of the place is that of a resort that will most definitely meet all of your needs without you having to brave the sometimes frenetic pace of the city below. The abundance of tropical plants and flowers and the calming influence of numerous water features genuinely make this not just an ordinary five star hotel but something really special and different.

Like all guests we were met with the delightful charm of the staff, a welcome drink and a refreshing fragrant hand towel to wipe away the grime of the outside world. Following smooth and hassle free registration we were shown to our Deluxe One Bedroom Suite. The first impression that we got when we entered our suite was that it was HUGE! The decor is subtle and stylish and absolutely no expense is spared in providing everything that you could possibly require. This is truly a home from home. At this point we could wax lyrical about the 2 large LCD televisions, stereo system, amazingly classy products provided in the lovely bathroom, the self catering equipment, the two balconies with stunning views across the city, the subtle grey/light green/brown tones of the carefully colour coordinated decor, the ocean sized bed that just screamed `you are going to have a great night`s sleep on me` – however suffice to say that this is an amazingly comfortable retreat that, for the two nights that we spent there, we could truly call our home. Stunning is a serious understatement.

Venturing out into the main hotel we discovered a large freeform swimming pool with waterfall feature, jacuzzi and children`s area. Should you desire a real pampering experience, then adjacent to the swimming pool is one of the most luxurious spa areas that we have ever seen. This is called the Princess Wellness Spa and is themed with Prince and Princesses rooms which capture the tranquillity of Thailand, the land of a million smiles. It even has a special room so that your children can also enjoy the relaxing benefits of a massage. If something more active is what you seek then there is a well equipped gymnasium and fitness centre, together with a unique golfing experience at the Wilding Golf performance centre . The area boasts a blend of state-of – the-art technology and advanced equipment to help golfers of all abilities to improve their game.

There are two dining areas in the resort. The Terrazz Cafe serves breakfast, snacks, drinks and an extensive selection of international cuisine in a tastefully decorated air conditioned area or alfresco on a terrace amongst the birds and squirrels that play and gambol amongst the trees and tropical plants that surround the area. On the rooftop Tetto lounge you can drink in the amazing panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline and enjoy an evening cocktail or light snack as you watch the sunset.
